20Fathoms' Executive Director To Retire

July 19, 2024

Eric Roberts, who has served as executive director of Traverse City-based 20Fathoms since 2021, has announced he will retire in September.

20Fathoms is a membership organization and the region's tech and startup accelerator.

The organization is at a key juncture, as it late last year received $7.3 million in grants from Michigan’s Small Business Support Hubs and from the U.S. Department of Commerce. At the time, Roberts hailed a brand-new chapter and plans for 20Fathoms to implement a growth plan to expand its geographic reach, launch new programs, and more.

Roberts had succeeded Lauren Bigelow as the organization's leader.

Roberts will continue to serve on the 20Fathoms Board of Directors, which is leading a search for Roberts' replacement.
