Top 10 Finalists Named For Small Business Of The Year

Professional services firms, contractors, food and beverage makers and entertainment facilities are among the finalists in the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce 2017 Small Business Celebration. The Top 10 SBC finalists in the running to become the Chamber’s 2017 Hagerty Small Business of the Year were announced by Chamber officials Wednesday.

“Once again we have an outstanding group of local companies advancing in our Small Business Celebration,” Chamber Executive Director Max Anderson says. “Our judges had a difficult task in narrowing this year’s SBC participants down to ten finalists, which really speaks to the strength of our region’s small business sector. We’re proud of all our Small Business Celebration participants this year, and very happy for our finalists.”

The finalists include:

Anavon Technology Group – a full-service telecommunications company based in Traverse City, serving more than 4,000 businesses across Michigan.
Image360 – specializing in consultation, design, manufacturing and installation of sign, graphic and display solutions for businesses and organizations.
Incredible Mo's – a family entertainment center in Grawn that offers bowling, laser tag, arcade games, a play area for toddlers and full-service restaurant.
Krause Realty Solutions – offers residential and commercial real estate services, property maintenance and management and related services.
Leelanau Physical Therapy – offering physical therapy for sports injuries, surgery rehabiltation and other conditions, from locations in Suttons Bay and Long Lake Township.
Mid-American Title Company – family owned and operated title company based in Traverse Cit,y dealing in residential and commercial properties, new construction and development, mortgage financing and related services.
Pets Naturally – a natural health food and supply store for dogs and cats offering a wide variety of healthy pet foods and treats, supplements and pet-related supplies.
Press On Juice – a juice and smoothies bar in Traverse City focused on raw food, vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts in its sandwiches, snacks, cold-pressed juice and smoothies.
Shoreline Power Services, Inc. – an all-service commercial, industrial electrical and automation contractor based in Williamsburg, with offices in Cadillac and Grand Rapids.
St Ambrose Cellars – a meadery, winery and brewery based in Beulah which produces handcrafted beverages from local agricultural products.

The next step in the Small Business Celebration is for the judges’ team to conduct site visits to each of the Top 10 to learn more about their operations and meet employees. The companies will be honored at the Meet the Top 10 Breakfast on May 16 at 7:30am at NMC’s Hagerty Center, a public event to celebrate this year’s finalists. The recipient of the Chamber’s 2017 Hagerty Small Business of the Year Award will be announced May 31 at the SBC Awards Ceremony starting at 4:30 p.m. at Hagerty Center.
