Boots For Beers Benefit

Want to enjoy a free craft brew - while also helping those in need? On Wednesday, December 9, Goodwill Northern Michigan will host the third annual Boots for Beers Benefit from 6-8pm. Participants can stop by The Little Fleet, Rare Bird Brewpub or The Filling Station and donate a pair of new or gently used men's, women's or children's boots in exhange for a free pint of craft beer.

"Keeping warm during the harsh northern Michigan winters can be tough for anybody," according to Goodwill. "For our neighbors experiencing homelessness, it is a constant life-and-death battle that can last into May (as we all know too well). You can help these members of our community by donating much-needed boots."

With the three participating breweries located within walking distance of each other, attendees are encouraged to make it a "progressive Boots for Beers outing with friends," with a Golden Boot Trophy awarded to the location that collects the most boots. Cash donations are also welcome.
