City To Reopen Splash Pad Memorial Day Weekend
The City of Traverse City will reopen its splash pad in Clinch Park on Memorial Day weekend for the summer season after being closed last year due to the pandemic.
City Parks and Recreation Superintendent Derek Melville tells The Ticker that the William G. Milliken Waterscape will reopen in time for the summer holiday kickoff weekend, provided the weather cooperates. The splash pad will then be open seven days a week all summer, except on days where there is heavy rain, storms, or temperatures under 60 degrees.
Signage will be in place encouraging social distancing and pandemic safety measures, Melville says.
