Pam Forton Resigns From TCAPS Board
Pam Forton has resigned from the Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) school board effective immediately, according to a district release Monday night.
Forton served as secretary on the school board and was serving a term that lasted until December 31, 2022. In the wake of her resignation, the board will accept applications to fill an interim board seat by appointment through the end of 2022. To be eligible, a candidate must be a registered voter in the TCAPS district, at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, a resident of the state of Michigan for at least 30 days, and a resident of the school district on or before the 30th day prior to the date of the appointment. Property ownership is not a requirement.
Interested candidates should submit a written letter of interest including a short statement regarding the qualities and experience the candidate brings to the position and a resume. Letters should also provide contact information, including street address, telephone number, and email address. Letters of interest and resumes must be submitted by December 7 at 5pm and sent by email to hozakst@tcaps.net or by mail to:
