Riverside Inn Closed Indefinitely Due To Fire
The historic Riverside Inn in Leland is closed indefinitely following a kitchen fire early Friday.
Owner Kate Vilter posted a video message on Facebook explaining the closure to customers. "As many of you know, there was a fire here this morning at Riverside," Vilter said. "Everyone is safe, and our emergency responders were amazing and evacuated our guests quickly and safely. But there was substantial damage to the kitchen, and so we are closed indefinitely."
According to a written statement accompanying the video, Riverside will be reaching out to guests with room and dinner reservations to inform them of the closure. "Thank you to the Leland Township Fire and Rescue for evacuating our guests safely, and to all of you for your support and patience as we rebuild," the statement said.
