TCAPS Schedules Virtual Meetings For Final Superintendent Interviews, Selection

Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) will hold all of its meetings virtually during the month of May – including community forums and final interviews with two candidates for the position of superintendent, as well as the board meeting in which trustees will select the new superintendent.

The full schedule of TCAPS meetings - including both regular board business and the superintendent hiring process - is as follows:

Thursday, May 14 at 6pm - Regular Board Meeting
Regular monthly business meeting of the board

Friday, May 15 at 5pm and 6pm – Community Forums with Superintendent Candidates
5pm – Google Meet with Dr. John VanWagoner
6pm – Google Meet with Dr. Denise Herrmann
Instructions: Individuals wishing to ask questions of the candidates should complete the Superintendent Candidate Question Request Form by 5pm on Thursday, May 14. Anyone unable to complete the form may contact Stacey Hozak at hozakst@tcaps.net or leave a message at 231-933-1725 with their name, phone number, email address, which candidate they would like their question addressed to, and the question to be asked. Questions submitted before 5pm on Thursday, May 14 will be asked to the candidates during the forums by Hazard Young Attea search consultant Dr. James Morse, as time permits.
