Up North Pride Details Events For Pride Week 2023
Northern Michigan nonprofit Up North Pride has announced a full slate of programming for Pride Week 2023, scheduled to take place September 27-October 1 in Traverse City. The schedule for this year's Pride Week is as follows:
Pride Ride & Sign Making Party
Wednesday, September 27
6pm-7pm Pride Ride @ F&M park
7pm-9pm Sign Making Party @ The Little Fleet
Free | All Ages
Event Description: Join us at F&M park in your bike gear and pride gear for a spirited ride through downtown led by Norte and ending at The Little Fleet for our annual Sign Making Party. The Sign Making Party is your chance to make a statement and prepare for the Pride Visibility March on Saturday. The ride will begin at 6pm so please join us at the park before 6 to rally up! Free admission, all ages are welcome.
Pride Pool Party
Thursday, September 28
6pm-9pm @ Delamar Resort
Tickets $35 | PG-13 Dress Code
Event Description: Join us for three hours of dancing, prancing, and splashing at the Delamar's beautifully heated outdoor pool. 2Bays DJs will set the vibe with fantastic drag performances poolside. Tickets will be available at UpNorthPride.com this fall. Limited cabana purchases available with seating and perks for groups of eight. Must be 18 years or older to attend. Cash bar, with a $10 specialty cocktail offered.
Comedy Night

Event Description: Up North Pride is proud to bring back the musical comedic brilliance of Kristin Key and national touring LGBTQ+ comedians Erin Foley and Daniel Webb! Kristin Key is a musical comedian and host of the weekly podcast Kristin Knows Blank. She is best known for her performances on NBC's Bring the Funny and Last Comic Standing. Erin Foley is a comedy writer and seasoned stand-up comic. As a stand-up comic, Erin has her own Comedy Central Presents special and has appeared on Conan O’Brien, @Midnight, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Chelsea Lately, Arsenio Hall, and Last Call With Carson Daly. Daniel Webb is an LA-based comedian, writer, & musician from Texas whose comedy has been featured on Comedy Central and NBC. Known for a fast-paced, wide-ranging set, Daniel has been a featured performer at JFL Northwest (2023), Moontower Comedy Fest (2022), and SXSW (2021). Tickets are $20, general admission, and will be available for purchase August 8 at CityOperaHouse.org. All ages are welcome. Parental discretion is advised.
Visibility Rally and March

Event Description: Join us for the largest participant-driven 2SLGBTQIA+ Pride March in Michigan beginning at F&M Park and proudly walking through downtown to The Open Space. The rally will start at 4pm with keynote speakers and this year's Grand Marshall, RuPaul Drag Race's Miss Congeniality Nina West. The march will follow the kickoff speeches and is free and open to everyone. Food and drinks will be available at both F&M park and the Open Space.
Drag Night

Event Description: Join us at the Open Space immediately following the Visibility March for a drag-tastic event! Come and support national, regional, and local drag artists including Rupaul’s Drag Race contestants Nina West and Jackie Cox. Drag Night will be hosted by local drag king and fan favorite Ben Eaton. Refreshments and food will be available for purchase on-site. Free admission. Parental guidance is advised.
Silent Disco

Event Description: The party continues with a Silent Disco under the stars. All attendees will be given headphones specially designed to keep the party going after hours. 2Bays DJs will be hosting the tunes. Big Gay Brunch

Event Description: End Pride Week right with a delectable Big Gay Brunch and Picnic. The Brunch is free admission with local food and beverages available to purchase on-site with opportunities to interact with local nonprofit booths. The event will feature family-friendly activities and live music stylings by local performers.
