Bill Marsh To Auction Off Dodge Demon For Charity

By Beth Milligan | July 26, 2017

Bill Marsh Auto plans to use the sale of its sole 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon to benefit several local charities.

The dealership is one of the smallest in the country to get the limited production car, with only 3,000 set to be built. While Bill Marsh committed to Dodge it would sell the car for one dollar below sticker price (the expected cost is $89,000), it will hold a charity auction to determine who will have the right to purchase the vehicle.

Those interested in buying the car will have to be a previous Bill Marsh customer and be willing to make donations to charities including the Father Fred Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the T.C. Patriot Game and Toys For Tots. The dealership will host an auction night for those interested in buying the car shortly after it is delivered in September.

"We've had a lot of interest in this car from around the Midwest," says Bill Marsh Jr. "Many dealerships will sell them for thousands of dollars above MSRP. We felt we could convert this high demand and help out some area charities."

The 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon is the fastest production car ever built. Its V-8 supercharged engine produces 808 horsepower. The car, designed for drag strip driving, can go from 0 to 140 miles per hour in approximately nine seconds.
