Civic Center To Host “Battleground X” Wrestling Event

July 6, 2018

Are you ready to rumble?

Mr. Chainsaw Pro Wrestling, northern Michigan’s independent wrestling organization, will hold an event called “Battleground X” at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center on July 20. The event will mark the first time that the Kalkaska-based organization has hosted a wrestling showcase in Traverse City. Mr. Chainsaw Pro Wrestling was founded in 2007.

Headlining Battleground X is Kevin Nash, a Michigan native and a member of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame. Nash has enjoyed a successful career in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where he won the World Heavyweight Championship on four occasions. His resume also includes several acting credits, in films such as Magic Mike, The Longest Yard, and John Wick. He will be on hand at Battleground X for a meet and greet with fans.

Battleground X will also feature appearances from several other big-time wrestlers, including PCO, Jimmy Jacobs, Flip Kendrick, and Mikey Zeroe. The main event, meanwhile, will be a 15-foot steel cage wrestling match between reigning Mr. Chainsaw Pro Wrestling champion Jack Verville and challenger Jake Omen.

There are three classes of tickets for Battleground X: $15 general admission bleacher tickets, $25 general admission floor tickets, and $35 VIP ringside tickets. Doors open at 6pm for VIP audience members and 6:30 for general admission ticketholders. You can purchase your tickets here.
