Downtown Farmers Market Starts For Season Today

The Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market opens for the season today (Saturday) in parking lot B in downtown Traverse along Grandview Parkway between Cass and Union streets. The market will run on Saturdays from 7:30am to noon May through October and on Wednesdays from 8am to noon starting the first Wednesday in June and continuing through October.

This year's market has over 100 vendors, making it one of the largest in the state. Six food assistance programs are accepted at the market, including EBT, Double Up Food Bucks, Hoophouses for Health, Prescriptions for Health, Senior Project Fresh, and Project Fresh. Parking available during the market includes Lots T (on Saturdays), C, and A surrounding the market, as well as Lot Z in the Warehouse District. All standard rates and permit regulations apply during market hours.
