Flapjack & Flannel Festival Off for 2026, Will Return in 2027

By Beth Milligan | July 24, 2026

The Flapjack & Flannel Festival - held for eight consecutive years at Timber Ridge Resort - will not take place in 2026 due to "scheduling conflicts among key collaborators involved in producing the festival
and an intentional reset to bring the event back in a stronger form," according to organizer Craft Beverage Artisans. The event is planned to return in October 2027.

"After years of hosting the festival in mid-November, the organizing team has heard consistently from attendees that late-season northern Michigan weather can be a barrier to attendance and enjoyment," Craft Beverage Artisans said. "The move to early-to-mid October is designed to deliver the full Flapjack & Flannel experience — peak fall color, comfortable outdoor temperatures, and that quintessential northern Michigan autumn atmosphere — without the unpredictability of a November date."

Craft Beverage Artisans also produces the long-running Suds & Snow, held annually on the first Saturday of March at Timber Ridge Resort. A new date for the 2027 Flapjack & Flannel Festival will be announced next spring.
