Hickory Hills Opening Delayed

By Beth Milligan | Dec. 28, 2018

The City of Traverse City delayed the planned Wednesday opening of Hickory Hills Ski Area due to weather conditions.

"Due to the unseasonably warm temperatures and the five-day forecast that is predicting even warmer temperatures and rain, we are going to temporarily delay our opening for the season," parks staff said in a statement. "We will select a new opening date after we are able to reassess our snow conditions this weekend."

Updates on the status of the park will be posted on the city's website online here.
