Local Chocolatier Changes Hands

May 6, 2013

Grocer's Daughter Chocolate of Empire has recently changed ownership. Owner Mimi Wheeler, who started the business 10 years ago, will be staying on as a consultant. The new owners, Jody Dotson and DC Hayden, say they will continue crafting superior chocolate using the highest quality ingredients. Dotson has traveled to Ecuador with Wheeler three times, and knows the business well. No immediate changes to staff or operations are planned.
