Memorial Day Events Slated In Traverse City

The annual Traverse City Memorial Day Ceremony will be held Monday at 10am at Veterans Memorial Park on 11th Street and Elmwood Avenue. Several military service branches will be represented, and veteran Art Eisner will be the featured speaker. Guests should bring their own shairs.
Additionally, the local chapter of Veterans for Peace will host an event from 8:30am-3pm at the Open Space. Taps will be played at noon, followed by a reading of the names of Michigan war casualties.
