Feb. 15, 2019

A new weekly direct flight between Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport will begin Saturday, March 16. Portland, Maine-based Elite Airways will serve as the carrier for the weekly service. Seats can be had for as little as $199 each way up to $299 each way, plus fees and taxes, and are available for reservation here now

“Elite Airways is pleased to begin nonstop jet service between Traverse City and Sarasota-Bradenton next month, which will be ideal for vacationers traveling in either direction,” says Elite President John Pearsall. “Our hope is to expand to twice-weekly service this summer as demand for vacation travel increases. We believe there’s good synergy between these two popular vacation destinations, and wish to thank airport officials in Traverse City and Sarasota-Bradenton for their support.”

Elite passengers receive free snacks and beverages, their first checked bag free, and no ticketing change fees. Elite Airways also says it is a pet-friendly airline.
