By Beth Milligan | Jan. 19, 2019

The Traverse City Police Department is looking for a suspect who robbed a gas station on Front Street Thursday.

According to authorities, a masked man entered the Admiral Petroleum at 732 East Front Street just after 10pm Thursday. He held a knife to the station attendant's throat and demanded cash. The attendant complied, and the suspect was able to leave the gas station with several hundred dollars. The attendant was not injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white man of thin build, 5'9" to 6" tall, with black hair on his chin. He was wearing a traditional camouflage jacket with a hood, dark-colored pants and shoes, and a bright green mask covering part of his lower face.

The TCPD has released an image of the suspect from a surveillance camera. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Detective Evan Warsecke at 231-342-4098.
