Property Watch: BATA Cass Road Facility

By Beth Milligan | July 18, 2023

In preparation for its planned move to new headquarters on LaFranier Road, Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) has listed its Cass Road facility for sale for $1.9 million.

The property, listed with Scott Hardy of Coldwell Banker Schmidt, contains a 22,321-square-foot facility with "ample industrial warehouse space" and 4,331 square feet of administrative and training offices. The site has access off both Cass Road and South Airport Road, providing "numerous options for conversion to commercial use," according to the listing - though large overhead doors and high ceilings can also "support and enhance a multitude of industrial uses." Located on 3.85 acres, "this entire facility has been well-maintained and can be easily adapted to take full advantage of its flexible industrial zoning," the listing states.

Notably, any potential buyer must be willing to accept delayed occupancy until September 2024. BATA's new headquarters on LaFranier Road are under construction now, putting the organization on track for a summer 2024 opening.
