Public Input Session on Camp Greilick Planned Monday

By Beth Milligan | Aug. 11, 2024

Grand Traverse County will host a public input session on the former Camp Greilick property on Monday, August 12 at 6pm. The session - which will be held at Besser Lodge at the park site itself at 4754 Scout Camp Road - will offer community members "the opportunity to share their thoughts, ask questions, and provide valuable feedback on the potential acquisition and future use of the property," according to a county release.

During the session, county officials will present an update on preliminary ideas for the property's future use. "Attendees will have the chance to voice their opinions, ask questions, and contribute suggestions," according to the release.

"Our initial public input has been met with enthusiastic response," says County Parks and Recreation Director John Chase. "We look forward to inviting guests to visit the property and to continuing an open and transparent discussion on how we can best utilize this space to meet the needs and aspirations of our residents."
