Six Injured In Traverse City Crash

Six people were injured, four of them seriously, after a teenager failed to yield at an intersection south of Traverse City Tuesday.

The 17-year-old Traverse City teen was headed east on Potter Road at 7:15pm when he drove into the path of a car headed north on Garfield Road. He and a 16-year-old female passenger from Cedar were injured in the resulting collision, but were not taken to Munson Medical Center.

All four occupants of the northbound car were transported to Munson Medical Center with injuries. The occupants included the 61-year-old driver from Traverse City, a 51-year-old Cedar woman, a 59-year-old Commerce Township woman, and a 50-year-old Suttons Bay man.
