Spotlight on Pets

Dec. 9, 2024

For many of us, our furry friends are members of our family. This week's Northern Express, sister publication of The Ticker, puts the spotlight on pets - from a feature on raising deaf dogs to a story on  East Jordan’s Just Cats, which meets the needs of cats and kittens who would otherwise be lost or die from illness or predation.

The issue also has features on Riley's Candles (which has helped more than 50 dogs get life-saving surgeries) and other pet-centric businesses, plus news on veterinary care startup Vetr Health coming to northern Michigan, a Tastemaker profile dedicated to dog bakery treats, and a photo spread of user-submitted pictures of pets across northern Michigan.

The Northern Express is available to read online, or pick up a free copy on newsstands at more than 650 locations in 13 counties across northern Michigan.
