Suspicious Death Apparent Overdose

A Traverse City man found dead in a car parked in a grocery store parking lot apparently died of a drug overdose.
That’s according to preliminary results from an autopsy conducted Tuesday, says Traverse City Police Capt. Jim Bussell. The autopsy was performed at the Western Michigan University School of Medicine in Kalamazoo and a final report that includes toxicology results will take up to two weeks before it is complete.
There were no signs of foul play in the death of 32-year-old Nathaniel Glen Clark, but there was also no immediate explanation for his death, so his death was initially called suspicious. No drugs were found in the car.
Clark was found in the driver’s seat of a 2008 Subaru at Tom’s 14th Street at 11am Dec. 4. An employee at Rite Aid called 911 about a car taking up two parking spots. When the woman checked on the car, she found Clark dead.
