Sweet Treats for Summertime

Aug. 14, 2023

We all scream for ice cream, fall in line for fudge, and even queue up for chocolate (we see you, Kilwins), but we are also quite barmy for baked goods. In the spirit of the Ingredients Issue of this week's Northern Express, sister publication of The Ticker, the publication is highlighting three bakeries whose delicious delectables are tempting local taste buds.

Representatives from Le Macaron in Traverse City, JoJo’s Cookie Co. in Petoskey (and now Traverse City), and Barb’s Bakery of Northport talk about the best-selling items on their menus, a creative concoction they think more folks should try, something special their stores do, and fun facts to blow reader minds. If you've got a sweet tooth, you won't want to miss the inside scoop from these three northern Michigan shops serving up drool-worthy confections!

The Northern Express is available to read online, or pick up a free copy on newsstands at nearly 700 spots in 14 counties across northern Michigan.
