TC Man Arrested for Domestic Violence

By Beth Milligan | April 30, 2025

A Traverse City man with a prior history of domestic violence was arrested following another alleged domestic assault in Garfield Township.

According to a release this week from the Michigan State Police, MSP troopers from the Traverse City Post responded to the incident at a Garfield Township residence on April 20. The suspect, 34-year-old Dustin Stamm from Traverse City, got into an argument with another member of the household. The suspect and victim were in the backyard arguing when the suspect lunged at the victim and began choking him. The suspect was pulled off the victim, and they were separated.

After the troopers’ investigation was complete, they arrested Stamm without incident. He was lodged in the Grand Traverse County Jail. Stamm was arraigned on April 24 in 86th District Court on one count of domestic violence third offense. He received a $10,000 10 percent cash surety bond. His next
court appearance is scheduled for May 15 at 11am.
