United Way Will Host Nonprofit Volunteer Fair This Saturday At Commongrounds

By Craig Manning | April 25, 2025

Local nonprofits in need of volunteer help will be on hand this Saturday, April 26 at Commongrounds to share details about their organizations, talk about their volunteer needs, and more. The event, a volunteer fair hosted by United Way of Northwest Michigan, will run from 10am to 1pm.

“This is a great opportunity for families, teens, or anyone looking for ways to give back to see what is available in our community,” said Bailey Nuss, United Way’s director of regional impact, in a press release.

“The need in our region doesn’t stop in the summer,” added Executive Director Seth Johnson. “But the good thing is many of the volunteer needs are things you can do with your whole family. The nonprofits at this Volunteer Fair have opportunities to get everyone involved.”

The Friendship Community Center in Suttons Bay is hosting a similar event for Leelanau County nonprofits on Monday, May 19.
