Year-Round Direct Flights to Charlotte Added at TVC

By Beth Milligan | July 31, 2024

Direct flights between Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) and Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) will now be available year-round after American Airlines announced plans Wednesday to expand its seasonal daily summer schedule.

Flights will take place on an E75-Embraer 175, which seats 76 passengers. A daily inbound flight from CLT to TVC will depart Charlotte-Douglas International Airport at 8:30pm and arrive at Cherry Capital Airport at 10:53pm. The flight will also depart TVC each day at 6am and arrive at CLT at 8:25am.

Paul Beachnau, a Northwest Regional Airport Authority board member and executive director of the Gaylord Tourism Bureau, said Cherry Capital Airport is "critical to the economic development of Northwest Michigan. This announcement with year-round service to and from Charlotte will open up significant opportunities for both leisure and business travel for the entire northern Michigan region. This is great news, and we are very excited."
